Tom Sawyer is the main character of the book. He is a mischievous yet good-hearted young boy around twelve years old. He gets into a lot of trouble at times, but he is a good boy. His best friends are Huckleberry Finn and Joe Harper and he is in love with Becky Thatcher. He lives with his Aunt Polly and a half-brother named Sid and a cousin named Mary.
